OUR PURPOSE: This wiki has been created in order to review a text that teaches creative writing. The text we are focusing on is Imaginative Writing: The Elements of Craft by Janet Burroway. This book is designed to teach students how to write creatively; Burroway believes students will benefit from learning different genres and writing techniques before settling into a specific form.

The book is broken up into eleven chapters, and each chapter represents one of these writing techniques or genres. We will be evaluating each specific chapter in relation to the multiple theorists listed in the Annotated Bibliography. Although we are evaluating the text by chapter, the book in entirety is important to review. The book's chapters relate to each other well, and as the book progresses, they build off of each other as well. In many chapters, Burroway references the other chapters, which is a characteristic of the book that we found to be efficient and effective.

We will now analyze each chapter individually and discuss the theories each one addresses, while reviewing the positive and negative elements.
