This serial as I remember is being telecast in Sun TV during prime time for more than 4 years. It is one of the worst serials I have ever come across. The director of the serial who himself is one of the actors shows sadist and psychopathic behavior. The state machineries such as Police, legislatures and even law is being depicted in a bad picture and the main character Abhi is being depicted as an good lady who keeps facing difficulties after difficulties.
Adhi, the villian commits crime after crime and keeps getting away with it. There is another sadist character who keeps marrying girls after girls and leads a lavish life. What is the message the director is trying to pass on to the mass? Commit crimes and you can keep on getting away with it? Don't heed to the law? Educate gun culture?
The television industry of India is equally famous as Bollywood. The beautiful and talented celebs of this industry are appreciated by the worldwide fans. Their series and shows are held months after months, and tend to break all previous records. Let us check the.
The director through this serial promotes only negative things. Please ban this serial. I have also written to SUN TV, but don't have any response till now. For now I have stopped watching this serial.
This kind of serials in a way is only spoiling the masses especially the children. I have never seen such a horrible serial in my life time. Thiruselvan doesnt know how to go ahead with this story, If this is the case he can better hault his work here or can hand over it to some other better director. I clearly dont understand why he takes such a serial and irritates public.
Even the quality of capturing scenes is very poor, Eg: During Airport scene, they shoot airport scene in Hotel reception. And abt devayani costume. Cant they provide her better costume when trying to show her that she is at USA. Next worst char is tholkapiyan himself. Trying to show himself as the hero always. Very worst part is menaka.
Pls finish of the serial soon. I hate when time hits 9pm every night. I think this serial will go on for ages. Everytime we feel that it is going to end soon, a new plot is added and the serial is dragged. Just to keep the serial running for years, we have new characters being added and shunted after few weeks and what happens after that to these characters is not shown at all. Is the police investigation on Dhilla's murder.
What happened to the CBI investigations only God knows. Also we have few fools in the serial. Like the private detective with the specs and hat? Looks like this guy is still in the 19th century in his dressing sense. It is like in old movies we have rowdies dressed in a lungi and t-shirt with lines and always called as jumbu.
And another character is Thiruvengadam. He makes fun of our politics and politicians. Problem is even the real politician will have some common-sense than the way that this guy talks and behaves.
It is just making fun of our democratic system. Everybody is shown as selfish idiots. I think Abhi's mother Karpagham would have spent atleast 100 lorries of glyserine till now. We see her crying every scene that she appears. It is better this serial ends at the earliest. Otherwise this will beat the Sindhubabh story which went for more than 15 years in 'Daily Thanthi' newspaper. Tiruchelvan-director of the serial is not a diploma in film technology but diploma in rubber technology(DRT INSTEAD OF DFT).
One need not take castor oil for cleansing the system.once you see the face of tiruchelvan with full of castor oil will get rid of ones intelligence and wisdom. The director, producer and sun tv telecasting the serial are jointly hoodwinking the gullible viewers. Villans go scot free, police tread without spine, too goody goody lady artist abhicreating nausea than sympathy. Abhis mother can be given a guiness book of world record for a greatest tear jerker in the world. In nutshell kolangal gives wrong messages to viwers. Hai i am renu from delhi. This is by far the worst drama I have seen & still watching hehe. I don't know why I continue to watch it, I just want to see the ending of this 5 year drama. But I am thinkinf now Mr. Thiruselvam wants to extend it for another 5 years. Devayani had 2 children during the whole drama!! I dont understand why they just can't wrap everything up! I think the character I dislike the most is Tholar Balakrishnan!
Him & his talks. I feel like breaking the TV when he starts talking!! They even brought in a mother for him!! He doesn't have a brain of his own. Arthi is another mental case. What's wrong with all these people??? However, it is just a drama, so we shouldn't take it serious.
But my only concern now is, when is this drama going to end? Dear friends, My name is Muthaiah Alagappan and I'm from Malaysia. I agree 100 percent with most you guys. For them (producer, director and actor/actress) to earn they make us like ablood fool with their stupid and unlogical stories. To be honest, actually none of them are stupid. They make us of our weake point to earn, that's all. They just need to create some character and AS USUAL THE GOOD PEOPLE WILL BE DAMN STUPID AND THE CROOK WILL BE INTELLIGENT, WITH THIS ELEMENT THEY WILL DRAG THE STORY AS MANY YEARS AS THEY WISHED.
I think everytime we watch serials such as Kolangal, Vasantham, Anantham, Thirumati Selvam, Arasi, Kasturi and many more, our blood pressure will go very high and don't know when we're going to vommit blood. Even a good couple/people/children will get spoil after continuously watch serial because it's teaching all the negative thing such as poisoning people, how to cheat, how to create touble in between two happy family or in the family itself, how to kill without any evidence and so on. I wish I'm in Chennai so that I can go and knock these director's door and ask them to wake up and remind them that we're in 2008 not 1960. Anyway as some people use to say ' if we cannot change the world then it's better for us to change ourselves'. I think you guys out there understand what I'm trying to say. Agreed that television shows are for the masses and entertainment. If people considered so, you wouldn't be complaining. You would just watch it, realistic or unrealistic.

Brush it off the second 'to be continued' is shown. Why coming complaining and just scolding people for no matter! To be more truthful masses like to see things on tv and even big screen for larger than life role.
Would it be interesting if any one just showed a normal family living a normal life, facing one or two issues and live smoothly. CUT IT OUT GUYS! Larger than life roles impresses the mass and as for the story line, it has to be big to stay there. So when you don't like the show, switch of the tv and move off. Else if you are so addicted that you are not been able to switch off and sit tight, then don't crib and complaing.

I am getting tired seeing people complaining, threatening (for no use), scolding and such things. Just don't watch! I wonder guy here hate the serial to the core end and again I wonder how they are very correct saying each and every character and what they do and how they can be in this serials.
Is it that you guys watch this serial without fails? Just asking coz I wonder how you well remember all those characters.! Thiruselvam sir is doing his job, you may take it or leave it, its always easy to critize behind the screen, try the screens one day, you may then realize how hard it is too achieve success.
