Fate/hollow ataraxia is a 2005 PC visual novel video game developed by Type-Moon, and the sequel to Fate/stay night. The word ataraxia in the title is a Greek term for tranquility, giving the title the combined meaning of 'empty tranquility'. The game also was ported to PlayStation Vita, and it includes full-voice acting, among other enhancements. This version was released in Japan on November 27, 2014. Fate Hollow Ataraxia Game

Notes:.If you are updating from an older version of the patch: use 'Start' instead of 'Continue' the first time you open the game after updating. So, you don't want to use Japanese Locale or AppLocale? But it's alright, I won't judge.

For Those who haven't installed the game: - 1.Unzip/unpack the.iso into a folder name of your choosing 2.Place the patch.xp3 into the Setup folder where FateFD.exe is Done. Click FateFD.exe to play. For those wishing to do a traditional install anyway, make sure to name your gamefolder without the Japanese '/'.

For instance, Fate/hollow ataraxia = BAD Fate hollow ataraxia = GOOD.You may want to select a different font in the Config menu if playing in a non-Japanese locale, the default isn't that good. I recommend Mona: krkr2, if it's an option. For those who have already installed the game: - Just see if it works! If it doesn't, you probably have that ugly / in your game folder's name, don't you? Rename the Folder!

Just get rid of that /.IMPORTANT. Naturally, as the pathname to your FateFD.exe has changed, your desktop and startmenu shortcuts will all break, so you will have to recreate/update them.ALSO KINDA IMPORTANT. For the rare few of you that choose to have your fatehasavadata in your gamefolder, renaming your folder will break the pathname to that as well! So on game start, a folder named 'Fate/hollow ataraxia' will be recreated along with a blank savedata folder. Go to your newly renamed folder, copy your current fatehasavedata folder, then go to this newly formed 'Fate/hollow ataraxia' folder, and overwrite that empty fatehasavedata with your current one. If you feel uncomfortable with the process, be sure to make copies of the Save folders first so you don't lose anything.

» Will my saves work with an old patch? Just be sure to use 'Start' instead of 'Continue' the very first time to avoid any conflicts from different file versions. » Where are my saves? Located in a folder named fatehasavedata (you are asked where to place this the first time you start the game). You can find the location you chose by looking in the config.ksc file in your game folder, or select a new location by changing the location in the file or deleting it (in which case you will be prompted for a new location on game start). I can't get 100%!

Everyone is able to get 100% on any play-through, no matter what you do. Getting locked out of 100% is impossible, though some design flaws have made certain scene difficult to find under certain conditions. If you feel stuck, check these common troublespots for scenes you haven't seen yet: 1. Make sure you get the prizes from both quiz ogres, morning and night, at Illya's castle. These unlock new scenes. You must get every question correct to receive the prize, there is one prize per ogre.

Go to school during Day 1 at morning and check there. New scenes showing in the 2nd or 3rd part of the schoolday do not toggle the 'NEW' flag over the schoolmap. Go to day 4, morning, school, and re-watch the scene (School Maid), and if you haven't already seen it, a '!' Event should appear right afterward just for that loop (Day 4, noon, school, Flip-Flop 3).Eclipse scenes count toward your progress, but Hanafuda and Emas do not.If these do not help, check your extras menu against this scene lookup and see which scene you are missing, then look at that date/location: There have been cases where a scene has it's 'NEW' flag removed, but the scene is not listed as viewed. This is usually from opening the scene then exiting.

This guide will help you locate any missing scenes you have by checking it against your Extras/Scene Play menu. The scenes highlighted in red are the usual troublemakers, check those first. 10/08 Emiya's Streets School Temple Iris' storehouse Towards the 'splash' Caster's delivery On the verge of a dream Invader That past is already Illya strikes back! No worries, I was just surprised because you never got in touch with me, so I figured Dozenagent was on his own. Little did I know.I feel kept out of the loop:( There, there.pats back. The timing was just bad. I was keeping track of the project through PMs with Dozenagent, and I felt awkward about contacting you directly after the whole month of silence. So I thought the best way to announce my return to you and everyone else was through the forums. But before I could do that, the whole mess happened, and I lost the chance for that, so I waited for this new one to be made before posting.

Sorry for not telling you sooner, Jack. I think that a good (longer term) project goal is to unify the writing style of the translation. FSN had the advantage of having one maniac writer more or less do everything. If we can at least have people who go and do the writing for each character than at least they will each sound consistent.

Fate hollow ataraxia voice patch

The reason I toss in this idea is that a fair share of people lack the skills to contribute to the TL validation, but if we successfully complete a characters translations then we can completely remaster that in parallel to validation, with a larger talent pool. Also can I hear more about how exactly the scripting works for FHA. If people like this idea and I understand enough about the text engine I might be able to make a script to easily batch replace text when we are ready to commit. I'm also not a half bad writer. No it's actually something that was in the long term plan for the official project so we should do it here. It's still in the plan, albeit very low priority until the remaining 16 or so 'bad' sections left have been fixed up (and fixing up mistakes left in validated scenes). Also - editing each character individually would be trouble, it could only really work with monologues.

Plus, everything would have to be checked by a translator to make sure the the original point is getting across. We've had lots of edits on entrans where someone would correctly trans something, write it badly, then someone would come along and rewrite it well into something that didn't happen. I think Shirou even had psychic powers rewritten into him at one point. I think that a good (longer term) project goal is to unify the writing style of the translation. I can do gotou-kun. Ok so i'm a bit of a newb when it comes to this stuff so I'm going to ask of you all to be patient with me.

I downloaded the patch provided in this thread and placed it in the SETUP folder (That's the one I have all the files etc in, link for it will be below) but when I start up FHA and load my file, everything is in Japanese as it was before putting the patch in. Now I know the patch is doing SOMETHING because when the patch is in the folder the confirmation bubbles are in English as opposed to being in Japanese when the patch isn't in the folder. What I'd like to know is if I need to start a new file for the translation to work or if I've done something ridiculously stupid somewhere along the line and have managed to royally screw myself in ways unbeknownst to man. If you kind ladies and gentlemen would like to display some heroics and help me out I'd be eternally grateful. Pics of my situation (hope these help) Once again, thank you for your time. What bells and whistles, out of curiosity? And where are they?

That scene is not validated yet so it's not in this patch. You'll have to wait for a future release for that one. Oho Notable points: they say Saber's swimsuit was one that defied expectations by being a two peice, and that her date clothes 'are the closest to the original design' (whatever that means, probably needs to be RE-TLed), and Rin blushes and looks angry, saying that date clothes were a bigger offense than the swimsuit, which I'm interpreting to mean Rin is jealous of the fact that Saber looks better than her in a mini skirt (and she should be), then finally, THE BIG CONSPIRACY REVEALED: Rin: That evil potato-eating Saber!

Do you get it!? I understand now!! Emiya-kun's affection will lead to infinite food, Now I get it! Archer: No limit? There's only so many calories on the planet. Well, at least now everybody gets what they want.

The people who don't care about how far it's validated can go play and the people who want to play the complete version can get it as well. Well the problem is that, people who have it mgiht put it into a torrent, and if they do, even if we put out a corrected version, the shit version will stay in circulation for a lot longer. This was the main reason I never put my patch out. Once gamecreater realized this could happen, he was like 'ohh fuck' and tried to get it off the internet. That's why there's a bit of urgency on our end to get the good version out before that happens.

It's not like the average casual even knows about Hollow or cares enough to play it. But, um, truth be told, I already looked it up on the wiki. I was more trying to bug report since I had thought the patch was completely translated, but not completely validated. Though in retrospect, I guess it's not surprising that it wouldn't apply to the bonus stuff. Anyway, since then I've also seen the one with Neko, Reikan, and Minori also in Japanese, so I guess it's just that the emas aren't all translated in the patch yet. I just thought it was an oversight since it was the first time I ran into Japanese text in the 80.6 patch. What is that sig from turtleman It's the animation of Nine Live Blade Works from the Heaven's Feel opening on the Vita. Watch it here: The Vita OPs are awesome, especially that one.

Also, for the record, turtles aren't all that slow. Tortoises and sea turtles (which are differentiated from normal turtles) are pathetically slow on land because, respectively, they either struggle under the weight of their own bodies or have ridiculous flippers that weren't meant for land travel. As a freshwater turtle, I'm faster than humans relative to body size. The download is slower than tortoises though. Hello, I just recently bought Fate/Hollow Atraxia, and it installed onto my laptop perfectly. So I then went to download the patch, but something weird happened. Not only did the patch download successfully, but I also got two new apps, a 'WeatherBug' and a 'LiveSupport'. Is this expected?

To be safe, I'm running some anti-virus scans, since the way they just popped onto my computer is hella suspicious. Weatherbug is stupid, but as far as i can tell not virus laden. Its retardedly hard to remove though. Dont know about live support. Uhhhhhhh how did you DL this patch.? Other programs should not have been bundled with it.

Maybe somebody from /a/ uploaded the unverified patch to one of those sites you use a dl manager for? -Updated -Edit: AAAAAHHHHHH shit dude, you had 'Download with sendspace accelerator and get recommended offers' checked didn't you? That's how you get weatherbug, so this is most likely it. Weatherbugs just a stupid weather application. It runs in your background and takes up memory though, so you should figure out how to uninstall it. Good luck, because in my experience it's a pesky sonuvabitch that doesnt really uninstall when you uninstall it, kind of like many virus protection programs.

It took me a good long while to remove it from my brother's. I'll go the service desk at my university.

They'll be able to handle it. And yeah, I used sendspace. Actually, I clicked the link on the first page of this thread. This is the reason why I like avoiding downloading, but Fate/Hollow Atraxia was worth it. So, besides taking up memory, it isn't harming my computer?

So how do I run this patch? How do I get it into the game directory? I'm not asking if you used sendspace, I know you did, but you should have unchecked the box that said to DL using their manager, thereby just doing a direct download via the browser. Also yes, drop the patch into the game directory. Well, I managed to get rid of all the unwanted programs. I'm not really tech-savy, at all, but I'll know for next time that when I download something I need to pay extra attention to what I'm agreeing to.

The question about the game directory wasn't if I should do it, but how do I do it. I've heard of game directories before, but I've never fiddled with it. How do I open it up and get the patch in it? Uhhhhh the same way you.start the game exe.? The directory is where the game exe is located.

1: Right click the icon. There should be a properties option 2:click it 3: there should be an open file location button near the bottom 4: click it. You should be in the directory now.Updated -Also, grats on the sweet deck of cards -Updated -I didn't download the game, I bought a hardcopy version from AX (at least I have this cool deck of Servant cards). I don't have a folder to open, but just a icon on the desktop to click. Edit: Nevermind. By following the image above, I managed to find it.

Again, not really tech-savy. Thanks for the help and patience. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Okay, so I'm about halfway through HA so far and I've noticed quite a few general grammar errors and mistakes in several scenes, which I know is to be expected of something that isn't even fully translated yet. Still, what would be the best way to report these errors to get them fixed?

Is there a preferred way to do it or something? Post them here or msg me with them, either will be fine. Try to provide the day and location of the scene for lookup (along with the exact quote of the original line). Thanks by the way. Post them here or msg me with them, either will be fine.

Try to provide the day and location of the scene for lookup (along with the exact quote of the original line). Thanks by the way. I didn't get everything because I started recording them fairly late, but here's some of what I caught. In 'Towards the culture festival' on Day 2, when going shopping with Issei, one of the sentences reads 'A honours student like Issei got to know a lot about this stuff.' There's two errors here, and both are pretty obvious.

There's also a sentence where he explains the dragon god that starts with 'Long time ago.' I'm not sure if this is an error, but I'd think putting an 'A' at the beginning would make more sense, especially for someone as formal as Issei. There are also a few in 'Iron and the second button' on day 3, and 'Ghost gossip glamourous' in the Einzbern castle, but I'm running late and will have to post the exact errors after 5.

I've got more, but I need to check them again and I don't have the time to do so this morning, so I'll post them after 5. People have been mentioning slow download speeds as well. Adding a mediafire link. Attracting the complaints is part of your job.

I'll update your title. My job is not to deal with complaints. My job is to deal with random PM's of people asking 'Is the HA TL project dead? You're the head of the project so clearly you must know since it's not like Ranmafan is and you're just a community contributor' 'What happened to FHA, I don't feel like reading 100 new pages so I'm just going to ask you, after all it's not like you are busy or anything.' 'What happened to FHA, I don't feel like reading 100 new pages so I'm just going to ask you, after all it's not like you are busy or anything.' Sorry, but I don't know a more appropriate person to ask for a brief update, since you always keep up with the translation thread.

I thought I'd rather spend some time translating, than reading through a hundred pages of off-topic posts. I did translate a few scenes, so I think it won't hurt you that much to spend a small fraction of the time I've spent for the sake of the project, if it's important to you:) Btw, how do you track the progress if the Entrans page doesn't get updated and how do you find the scenes that still need validation. I wasn't necessarily referring to your question, just that I get said PM's constantly now. 'Hell, there's no such a thing as a little sister that's better than her brother.' I'd put 'I mean,' if it was me. But yeah the main issue is that the translation says the exact opposite of what it actually means?

Updating line in patch, thanks for catch. Btw, how do you track the progress if the Entrans page doesn't get updated and how do you find the scenes that still need validation. The list is kept on a Wendy's napkin, they tend to have the most white-space. There is also a backup on Excel.

Most of the editing in general is being done offline, because we have no validation control over entrans. The primary editing passes for most unvalidated scenes are still being done directly on entrans though. The scenes not currently checked-out are: 裏マップ-11.ks.po (裏マップ-07.ks.po (裏マップ-03.ks.po (裏マップ-01.ks.po (衛宮邸・夜マップ-21.ks.po (街編・2日目-24.ks.po (街編・2日目-17.ks.po (http://seiba.us.to/entrans/list.php?filelist=yes&fileid=329&page=1).

Translators are like valuable employees to an employer in a company that just cannot grab anyone unskilled from the street to do the job. Even if the head of a project is not a translator, without translators nothing would proceed. For one, I actually think that if the moonrunereaders got paid for it translations would progress in smoother way. It depends on the interest.

In CCC, they asked for help and got 4 rune readers instantly. People tried TLing small bits of CCC and posting it on BL, but it's not the same as making a patch so I'd consider proper game translation projects to be a true merge of man and machine, or rather, tech and runes. Hello, I've been lurking on the translation threads for quite some time, and now that it finally started moving again I started playing HA, figuring that until I reach the unvalidated scenes the next patch will be out. Since I completed around half of it I figured I'd give you guys some feedback on the translation and possible mistakes.

First of, my japanese is to limited to actually check the jap-en translation, so I only refer to the english and german spelling and grammar. The english parts have occasional awkwardly worded parts like articles missing or wrong word endings, but they are rather easy to understand, at least compared to what most german higschoolers produce in english lessons. So far, the only part that seems completely mistranslated to me is in the 'Entry Hall' menu (the one where the pool scenes can be accessed). In this menu, after you have chosen the 'with someone' option and choose one of the characters, the lowest button reads 'some other place', however if you click it you're brought back to the previous menu and are asked to choose one of the characters again, which is why I think the buttton should be labeled 'somebody else' instead of 'some other place'. For the german parts goes the same thing as with any type-moon translation (even german ones), meaning completely wrong translations and grammar, but since all translations share those faults i guess the mistakes stem from type-moon and not from the translators. There is also a spelling mistake in the spell used to lock the Tohsaka mansion, where 'Anfang' is written as 'Anfung'.

By the way, translating that spell to english would give you something like 'beginning of social middle class' which is the kind of completely wrong translation i referred to. Another example would be Illya translating 'brewery' as 'Weinkellerei' (winecellar) and then saying that her castle does not have one, but has a winecellar. If you should need a german proofreader for the game at some point I wouldn't mind helping out.
